Turbulent Ouzo

Adding ouzo to water mixes three liquids: water, oil, and ethanol. Ethanol dissolves in both water and oil, but water and oil do not mix.

Zooming in, we can see the tiny oil droplets forming in the ouzo mixture.

When poured in from the top, ouzo's momentum battles with its buoyancy, causing a fountain-like effect once buoyancy overcomes the local, downward momentum.
