Fern Reproduction

Ferns use spores to reproduce rather than relying on pollinators.
When water evaporates from specialized cells, it causes the fern to fling spores.
The actual production of eggs and sperm happen in a gametophyte that grows from the spore. Once fertilized, a baby fern takes root.
