Lego Vortex

With a Lego-built magnet stirrer, a vortex forms inside the sphere.
At high rotation speeds, the liquid inside the sphere essentially forms a spin coating.
In an elaborate Lego set-up, this sphere spins fast enough to from a parabolic interface.
